Privacy Policy

Short version: SetScope does not collect data on our servers. Calculations and saved libraries stay on your device. Location can support Sun Tracker and saved capture metadata; optional place-name lookup uses Apple's geocoding service. No third-party analytics, tracking or account is required.
1. Who we are
SetScope is developed and distributed by TRISIMIO SL (CIF B06916753), a software company registered in Madrid, Spain, trading under the Trimonkey brand. Contact: privacy@trimonkey.es
2. Summary of our privacy posture
SetScope is a professional cinematography toolkit. Its calculators and saved libraries work offline; optional place-name lookup uses Apple's geocoding service. The app:
- ✓ Does not collect or transmit any personal data to our servers
- ✓ Does not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking
- ✓ Does not require a user account or sign-in
- ✓ Does not include third-party analytics SDKs in the current version
- ✓ Stores preferences and your gear library locally on your device only
3. Data we access and why
3a. Camera
The Director's Viewfinder uses your iPhone's camera for a live preview. When you tap Capture, it saves a photo with camera, lens and location details if location is available. When you start recording, it creates a silent reference video and saves it to Photos when you stop. Camera images and videos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to TRISIMIO servers. Your Photos and iCloud settings control any subsequent Apple Photos syncing.
3b. Location
Sun Tracker can use your location to calculate solar position, golden hour and trajectory on your device. The app may ask Apple's geocoding service to resolve a place name from coordinates; that lookup can send location information to Apple. Available coordinates may also appear in photos or video you choose to capture. The app does not send location to TRISIMIO servers or maintain a location history.
3c. Local storage
App preferences are stored in NSUserDefaults. Your gear library and other saved work are stored in a local database on your device. iOS may include local app data in a device backup, depending on your settings. Deleting the app removes its local database and preferences; media already saved to Photos remains subject to your Photos settings.
4. Data we do NOT collect

- ✕ Photos or videos uploaded to TRISIMIO servers
- ✕ Location history or GPS tracks
- ✕ Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, serial numbers)
- ✕ Crash reports (no Sentry or equivalent in current version)
- ✕ Usage analytics or session data
- ✕ Name, email, or any account information
5. Required Reason API usage
Apple requires apps to declare the purpose of certain system APIs. SetScope uses the following, as declared in its PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest:

NSPrivacyTracking is declared as false. NSPrivacyCollectedDataTypes is empty — no data types are collected.
6. Third-party services
The current version of SetScope does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising or crash reporting SDKs. Optional place-name lookup uses Apple's geocoding service; purchases and Photos syncing use Apple system services as described above.
The App Store distribution is managed by Apple Inc. Apple's own privacy practices apply to the download and payment process. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
7. In-app purchases
If SetScope offers paid features or subscriptions, all payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple via StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details. See Apple's privacy policy for details on purchase data.
8. Children's privacy
SetScope is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no social features, accounts, or messaging.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
As a user in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data, and to object to processing. Because SetScope does not transmit personal data to our servers, there is effectively no data for us to provide, rectify, or delete beyond what is stored locally on your device (which you can delete by removing the app).

10. Data retention
Preferences and saved work reside locally on your device. Deleting the app removes its local data, but media already saved to Photos remains until you delete it there. We do not retain your app data on our servers.
11. Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, crash reporting, or other data-processing features in a future version, this privacy policy will be updated before that version ships. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
